New Hampshire QSO Party Rules (Revised August 19, 2025)
United States/Canada State/Province QSO Party Open to All World Wide Participants

Objective:
NH Stations contact as many participants in states, provinces and DXCC countries during the contest period. Stations outside of NH contact as many NH stations as possible during the contest period.


Contest Period:
Third weekend in September.
2025: September 20 – 21
2026: September 19 – 20
2027: September 18 – 19


Time:
1600 Z to 0400 Z Saturday; 1200 Z to 2200 Z Sunday.
Total operating time 22 hours.


Frequency Bands:
80 through 10 M, except WARC bands (12, 17, 30 M)
Suggested frequencies: CW 35 kHz up from bottom, SSB US General Band.

Categories:

Fixed Single Op, Multi Single, Multi Multi
Portable Single Op, Multi Single, Multi Multi
Mobile Single Op, Multi Single

Use of spotting assistance and self-spotting is permitted in all categories.
Portable Operation (POTA) stations are counted (provide your Park designation(s) with your log). 

Multi Single defined as one radio, multiple operators, Multi-Multi defined as multiple transmitters, multiple operators.
Portable: A portable station is a station that is a temporary POTA type of station.  Antennas used are erected for each contest and removed after the operation.  Operation cannot be from a ‘fixed’/home station. A portable station may operate from one or more counties.

Mobile: A mobile station is a station that can be operated from a vehicle while in motion or while parked. All antennas are mounted on the vehicle. A mobile station may operate from one or more counties.

Maximum Power:
High: >100 watts to legal limit
Low: ≤ 100 watts
QRP: ≤5 watts


Exchange:
NH: RS(T) + County
non-NH W/VE: RS(T) + (State/Province)
DX: RS(T) + “DX”


Work Stations:
Once per band per mode.


QSO Point Credit:
1 Point per phone QSO.
2 points by CW/Digital QSO.


Multipliers:
NH Stations – one multiplier only: Each NH county, each state, each Canadian province and up to 10 DXCC country once.
Non-NH Stations: Each NH county once per band. Maximum multiplier count: 50 (10 counties per band, 5 bands)


Score Calculation:
Total score = total QSO points x total multipliers.

Cabrillo formatted log uploaded to https://w1wqm.org/submit-log.php.

General Rules:
All participants must comply with your countries’ regulations and requirements.


Awards:
Certificates will be emailed to participants that place first in their respective category. Winners shall be notified via their email associated with the log. Each county winner, each state/province winner, highest DX station score in each category shall receive a certificate.
